I sorta' feel like today has been that day for which Anne Murray wishes in the line of her song "A Little Good News", where she speaks of the ideal of the newspapers not having anything to write about.

Not to correlate our life & recent days in any way with the bad news which she bemoans throughout the song; rather, the day has been a very quiet one, except for the continuation of the very strong, gusty winds that have blown all night & all day.

The ranger with whom I spoke this morning said that these winds are an annual event, to continue through most of March, at times even heavier than they are today. If I lived here for long, I'd be buying me some cement shoes to keep my feet on the ground!!!!!

I teased a bit in yesterday's entry about something I had overheard at the park's registration desk, that there were to be several scuba diving classes in the pool here today.

I included the pool & the divers in the pictures that I took around the park this morning. I hope that you enjoy them.

We may set-out for Los Angeles tomorrow, or we may not......somewhat depends on how this wind is tomorrow.

Oh yea, the title of this entry.......if you have read very many of my entries, you know of my affinity for good showers.

The showers in the bathhouse here are unlike any I have encountered before, in that (1) they have no temperature control, you get what you get, & (2) their only control is a single-knob plunger from which you get about 30-seconds of water for each punch.

You have probably seen the same thing on sinks at public restrooms, but never have I encountered it on a shower.

I figured-out real quick that the only way to keep a steady flow of water going was to do a "booty-bump" every 29 seconds or so; punches cannot be aggregated, the timer runs only from the last punch.

I told Vicki if she begins to see quarter-size bruises on my right cheek to not be concerned.

Notice in the photos above the cute little covered picnic table decks at each campsite.

That, my friends is about all that I have to say about this day........have a good rest of the weekend.
