Sick Samba South American Adventure travel blog

Your experience in Buenos Aires is largely dicated by what area you stay in. The place is big, colourful and diverse - hence how it can influence your experience. On our last vist here we really took to the area known as Palermo, the Soho, St Kilda or Nottinghill of Buenos Aires. This place is seriously cool and not yet totally tourist inundated - but it is getting there slowly from what we are told. We stayed at Malabia house,a bed and breakfast, which was an old Nunnery, complete with its own shrine. The house was fanastic, reasonably priced, gardens, sunlight, great staff and would allow us to leave our bags there while we travelled in Brasil. As you may have already read, we had Sushi at a local restaurant instead of the usual steak, went for a run around the local parks down on the riverside. The river is the Parana that flows all the way from Igauzu where we are heading to tomorrow.
