An abandoned stone house, of which there are many

Thru the windshield

Today was a day of traveling, from Big Bend National Park sitting on the Mexican border to Balmorhea State Park sitting 3-4 miles south of I-10, 193 miles east of El Paso & 43 miles south of Pecos, Texas.

Tonight has been a night of getting caught-up on several fronts from not having had access to the internet for a week. Specific to this journal, I have posted entries for the past few days & posted photos for those days as well as a few others for which I had already posted entries.

Since I have added a fair amount of new "stuff" tonight, I'm gonna make this one real short, yielding to slumber-land with a promise to write about today's trip & this park in tomorrow's entry.

P. S. It was great being in Big Bend, but it does feel good to be back in contact with the rest of the world. I even get to watch Jay Leno's monologue, as I am doing so at the immediate moment.
