Ed & Marilyn 'The Happy Wanderers' travel blog

I am the only person awake this morning. Last night I was exhausted and went to bed at 9:30 PM. Evidently I sometimes snore when I am very tired and last night was one of those times. Marilyn awakened me numerous times but to no avail. She finally gave up and moved to the sofa in the living room. She returned to bed around 6:00 AM. I got up and took a shower and dressed for the day. I still feel tired but am ashamed for keeping Marilyn awake so much. We are both glad that this is a rare thing for us.

It is nice to be here on the farm, in the home of Jennifer & Steve. It is very quiet & peaceful. I did hear the roosters crowing this morning and it appears that today will be a nice warm day with temps in the high 40's. Well, that is warm for here! It has been a long, cold winter. Where is the global warming they talk about? Bring it on!

One of our readers, Sandra, from California, identified the "snake bird" I spoke about a couple of days ago. It is an "anhinga", which is a close relative of the cormorant. Thank you for the information.

Today is the day for Jennifer's surgery. I will probably make another journal entry today because so many of you have asked about Jennifer, and wish her well. I have no pictures to post right now, but will get back to you all today.
