San Pedro Sula is a very modern and prosperous city in Honduras. As part of our Ciy tour we went to a banana plantation and got see how they harvest the bananas, how they grow new 'trees' from the mother plant and how they sort, wash, and pack bananas for export. We even had to wear bonnets so that buyers don't find hairs in their banana bunches I guess. As usual, the local market gets to eat the rejects. However, there is nothing like local, tree ripened fruit.

The wood carving store and factory is still fun to visit. The workmanship is very good and the solid wood door carving and room dividers are always interesting to see being made. They even ship the goods back to your home.

This is our fourth trip to Honduras, and we still enjoy seeing the highlights.
