Ed & Marilyn 'The Happy Wanderers' travel blog

Jennifer called last evening and informed us that Steve's knee surgery had gone well. So well, in fact, that he asked for a Big Mac with cheese, fries and a Coke. He ate that and then ate Chinese food before going to bed. He is on crutches but not for long. Can't keep a good man down. :)

We slept with the bedroom windows open last night. It was wonderful! However, the morning sun did not appear as we had hoped. The sky was a solid, gray overcast once again. The temp was 65 degrees this morning, so Marilyn and I tried to have our coffee outdoors, but the "cool for us" temp was too much for Marilyn so we had the last cup indoors. Jennifer called on her way to the doctor. Steve is still doing good and now the focus shifts to Jennifer as she is scheduled to have Gall Bladder surgery on Feb 20th. We will fly home on the 19th and stay for a few days to help out where we can. We will be concerned for both of our kids until we are certain that all is well.

After cleaning up a bit, we went to the store and to a fruit/vegetable market. We returned home, put the groceries away, and settled down to enjoy the day. The clouds are supposed to break up and the temp is supposed to reach 82 degrees. Come On Sunshine!!

Heinz returned to Mexico to do volunteer work today. Gilbert & Louise are off to visit South Padre Island, and the Drays are going to spend a quiet day together.

I talked on the phone this morning, to my long time friend, Sherry, in San Antonio. She and Rick will be coming down to visit us next month. Can't wait for that. We will have a good time. It seems that I don't have much to write about today, but I could be busier than I plan to be. NAAAAHHH!! The chores can wait until another day. :)

No pictures to post today, but I promise more soon. Time to see what this day has in store......
