2006: North to Alaska! travel blog

Farewell Bend State Park CG

This was a welcome stopping point after a long, one-day run down from Spokane trying to get ahead of bad weather. We pushed through snow on the interstate around LeGrande, OR with one eye glued to the outside temperature but after getting over the last pass everything cleared up nicely as we made it into the park.

As you can see, this part has some well laid-out sites, paved spurs, and is nicely treed. You can also tell that we are a little behind the season since the place was almost empty! At any rate, we washed a lot of pine needle crud off the roof and hit the road by about 11 am. Would definitely stay here again.
