Belize was somewhat of a disappointment. Very poor country, and people seemed to lack enthusiasism. Maybe we need to 'stray' into the hills for some nature. It is known for 'birding' and we did not go much beyond the main road.

However, our boat trip up to the Laminai Ruins was fun and interesting, but not nearly as well developed as Palenque and El Tajin in Mexico which we saw earlier. Our guide did give us a nice jungle tour.
