Ed & Marilyn 'The Happy Wanderers' travel blog

It rained during the night last night. I didn't hear it but the street reflected the lights like a mirror this morning. The outside temp was 54 degrees, so I have no complaints. I put coffee on and checked the e-mail, while Marilyn slept in until Jennifer called on her way to work. Marilyn & I had our morning coffee in front of the fireplace, with good music playing, and talked about where we might want to spend next winter. We decided to go to Arizona. We are thinking about Casa Grande & an RV resort called Fiesta Grande. If any of our readers have stayed there, we would appreciate a note about your thoughts.

I have to share this with you. It was probably one of those "You had to be there" moments, but Marilyn & I were talking about the things we had to do today. I said "Well, we have to pay the electric bill ($41.00) and we have to pick up the mail". "BUSY, BUSY, BUSY"! We both sat here and laughed because our life has become so simple and easy. Sometimes it is hard to believe that we are actually doing this and we almost feel guilty about our life being so uncomplicated. We also mentioned that we are going to Mexico with 3 other couples this afternoon. That comment was followed by "Man, it's just GO, GO, GO all the time. Like I say, it was a "You had to be there" moment.

Our neighbor, Carl, had to move this morning. He decided to stay longer than planned but his site had been rented to another RVer, so he had to move down the street. Many people return year after year, and become close friends to those who are around them in the RV park. So, they end up requesting the same sites year after year. They have reunions which last all winter long. Not a bad way to live. Marilyn & I have decided that the most difficult part of leaving will be saying goodbye to our friends. Well, it is too soon to think about that. We will have more pictures to post tomorrow, after our trip to Progreso this afternoon. Can't wait to see what the day brings.........
