The true Onehouse...

Driving in lonely straight roads for 390 kms passing towns/roadhouses that could be taken out of Western movies.

The next two days will bring us through the Nullabor Plain, a 1200 km wilderness which name is translate from Latin into "No trees". For us this translates into hundreds of kilometres of literally straight road with endless views...

The only stop worth mentioning during the day was Norseman. Norseman is a few hundred people village giving a Western movie atmorsphere. Empty, dusty roads - a lonely coke can blown down the street and a petrol booth. Temperatures have risen to above 40 degrees in the shade.

After 600 km of sdriving we were happy to arrive in Balladonia, our stop for the night. Instead of the expected village, Balladonia consists of a petrol station, a dodgy motel and a car park (called campground) with shower house. Enough dust and heat throughout the day to enjoy our first Australian beer and go for an early sleep.
