| After a short day on the road...4 hours we are here catching up before we head for several days at Torres Del Paine BP..we will be out of touch for awhile... update..1/13/07...we took a tour today provided by the tour company...a bus to Mareno Glacier....a hike along the edge then a boat ride up to the ¨wall¨..then another hikes along an extensive boardwalk...unblievable views..hope the pictures come out..then back to the campground..a shower, change of clothes..then off to a parrillia(? sp)..Anne & I had roast lamb that was cooked on a huge verticle spit...they build a fire in a pit then surround the pit with whole half of lamb...a good cheap wine and a great meal..now its back to the tent and an early rise to get on the truck to leave tomorrow for Torres del Painie NP..for 3-4 days and hopefully some warmer and of course dry hiking..till later Anne&Mike |
