Margaret in her kitchen

On wednesday 10th, I boarded a train bound for Morisette, a small town on the large inland water that is Lake Maquarie. I was met at the station by Margaret Harnett, an old friend of My Grandfathers (would you believe!). My Grandparents lived for 5 years in Melbourne when Mum was a baby....and margaret used to babysit for them. wow.

Anyway, Margaret and her husband fed me and gave me a bed for the night, were super welcoming, and showed me around their area, including a fun stop to feed real kangaroos! really cool!... they just lived wild in the grounds of a local hospital, like giant rabbits!

so after lots of catching up and hearing all about my grandparents time in Oz, I was duly dispatched the next morning with a jumbo lunch bag and one way ticket north.
