We left Foster early to go to Wilson's Promontory, the most southern point of mainland Australia. Here we did a 5km hike up to a really cool lookout point. The weather was absolute crap but the views made it worth it. After the hike we went to a popular camping spot in Tidal River. Since all the kids are on school holidays right now it was packed full of families. Some people did a hike from Tidal River to Squeaky Beach but the rest of us took the bus over to the beach to meet them. We got to the beach and half the people wouldn't even get off the bus!! It's called Squeaky Beach because the sand actually squeaks when you walk on it. We would've spent a few hours at the beach but the weather was terrible and everyone just wanted to hurry and get to Melbourne.
