I'd pay 900 Baht just for the magic
Didn't spend much time here after my flight in from Vietnam and I didn't need to- it's a resort town with a nice beach but that's all. The towns are completely set up for tourists and the only Thais that live there work in tourism.
The airport was the most interesting thing here I think- the arrival lounge was nothing more than a wooden roof for shelter- no walls let alone security! It would be possible to run from the street straight on to the runway if you were stupid enough to want to.
