We arrived off Grand Cayman at about 6.00 hours. The sea had a swell of four metres and the wind was blowing from the South East at a force six.
This is code for saying the trip to Grand Cayman was cancelled!! The conditions made it unsafe to anchor the ship offshore or moor the ship's tenders alongside.
The disappointment didn't last long and after a hearty breakfast I continued reading Archer's novel "False Impressions" The Chart room is ideal for reading in a quiet environment with superb views and the occasional Kentucky Makers Mark whisky.
We met with several of our new found friends throughout the day and after lunch spent the afternoon beside and inside the outdoor swimming pool. After our obligatory trip to the gym and after drinks and super with Steve and Kathy, Lesley and I went dancing in the Yacht Club. [Message for Hayley] Just before retiring, an American lady with a strong Southern States accent said she wanted us to know how much she and her friends had enjoyed watching us dance. It was like watching the Grand ? Matinee??
We think that was a compliment so we thanked her and retired to our room about midnight.
