Hello all,
We're in Koh Pangnan and have been here since Friday 22nd. We're staying at Same Same hostel in Haad Rin bay - home of the full moon parties. It's buzzing - it appears it's always buzzing!
We had two Christmas dinners this year! Our Christmas eve was spent celebrating the danish Christmas day. We joined 130 people for a typical danish banquet which consisted of potato, potato and more potato - Oh, and meatballs! It was good fun and we mixed with the mad danish people.
On Christmas day we decided to hire some skooters and have a look around the island which is much bigger than Koh Tao and they have proper tarmac roads here. Lazy House is a restaurant/bar run by an English bloke and he was doing a traditional Christmas dinner for all us English folk so in the evening, we had turkey and all the trimmings. We joined in with the majority and took ourselves to the beach for a proper knees up. People everywhere wearing santa hats and tinsel and enjoying themselves.
It can be quite a hectic place here, especially at this time of the year. We'll be chilling in NZ soon and getting back to reality with finding jobs! Yikes!
Today (Boxing Day) has been exceptionally lazy! Just what was needed!
Hope everyone had a super Christmas back home! X
