| I was in Surfer's Paradise, on the Gold Coast, for a total of 3 days. Most people say they don't really like it but I didn't mind it. It's different than the other beaches because there are highrises all along the beach. It has tons of shopping and really good nightlife, although I decided it was better to save my money for New Year's in Sydney. The beach however was not so fun. Emma and I went down to the beach and lasted no more than 20 minutes!! It is so windy there that you get sand in your ears, eyes, up your nose and in your mouth!! As soon as we put our towels down they were covered in sand within minutes. It was not very fun!! I didn't get any pics of the beach beacuse I didn't want sand in my camera and the other 2 days it poured rain all day! The only other thing to do from Surfer's is go to one of the many water or amusement parks. We were planning to go to one of the water parks but the weather was so awful we couldn't go! Oh well, saved more money at least. |
