| We left Asuncion at 0615 witnessing an awesome sunrise. We're doing an overnighter to Mag Bay. I was sitting in a lounge chair on the fore deck listening to Jimmy Buffett on my I-Pod, while watching a pod of whales swimming along side our starboard bow.Could it get any better? Hey, would someone get me a Margaritta please? I was aprehensive about doing another over nighter after the last one. My watch was to be from 9:00 pm to 1:00 am. hey, I can hardly stay awake past 8:00 anymore.It grew darker and darker til it was black as coal. Nothing like powering 7 knotts into total darkness. The darkness afforded me the most beautiful star filled sky. You'd think you could reach out and touch them. Just when I thought it couldn't get any better this magnificent moon came up over the horizon. I was enjoying it so much that I continued my watch until after 3:00. The weather is much warmer now. We're within 10 miles of Mag Bay. the sea temp is 82 degrees. Oh, here's a funny story that happened while in Turtle bay. I needed to purcahse some chicken breasts from the larger of the little markets they have here. The young guy behind the counter speaks no english, and I no Spannish. Still needing to buy chicken breasts I decided to do a charades thing. Well hopping around squaking like a chicken showing off new breast implants is found to be rather amusing in Mexico. Although I left with very little dignity, I did have chicken breasts for dinner that night. We ended up in Bahia Santa Maria. Mag Bay next |
