Frank, Bev and Cady on the Go Sept. 2005-April 2007 travel blog

Well, we are "On the Road Again" as the old Willie Nelson song states.

We packed the T-bird to the roof, crammed Cady in and left home Monday, Nov. 27th. We spent our first night 752 miles south in Guthrie, OK.

On Tuesday we took a detour to Duncan, OK to check on some property where Frank has inherited some mineral rights. We found the property without any problems. It consists of mostly grassland, fit only for grazing cattle. There wasn't an oil field or pump in sight. We figure that the only person who will ever make any money off the mineral rights is the lawyer handling his Aunt's estate.

We continued on and arrived in Montgomery, TX and picked up the motor home that evening. It was good to get "home" and be able to stretch out and relax. We stayed two nights to rest up and enjoy the warm sunny weather.

Thursday morning we woke up to temps in the low 70's. An hour or two later it was in the 50's and still dropping. We drove the 300 plus miles to Mission fighting a strong NW wind and light rain. Needless to say Frank was worn out from fighting the wind all day, it bounced us around pretty good, especially when we headed west.

Since we've been in Mission it has been cool and mostly cloudy. We haven't done much other than shopping at Camping World and Home Depot. Frank fixed the jacks on the motorhome, it cost us $130 for a replacement level sensor switch. We attended a "happy hour" get together yesterday and met a few more people. Today is still cloudy and cool, but Frank is out on the golf course making more new friends.

I hope all is well with you and that you have a MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR.

Keep in touch, I won't be doing daily updates, but will try to keep you posted on a weekly basis.
