Boy, life is exciting when you are retired. It took me two days to find a barbershop which was open, had parking space, and no waiting. Found a really good one! The B & B. I know it sounds like a Bed & Breakfast place but it is a barber shop on Broadway, near the river, in Hannibal, MO. They get high marks. Cindy is the barber and she does a great job. She made me look good and God knows, she doesn't have much to work with.
I am at Jen's house using her internet. She is working today. Tomorrow, we are celebrating Thanksgiving with Al, Gloria, Steve and Jennifer, at the Cockledoo Farm.
It appears that when we leave for Texas, we will have to go through Liberty, MO, to have the power switch on the fireplace, replaced. If that happens we will go on to Wichita for two nights and visit our good friends there, before moving on south. We want to be in San Antonio by Christmas eve day.
I have to tell you about the Trail of Lights here in Hannibal. They are using the campground for it and this is the first year, but it looks like it will be very nice. The campground will be all aglow with Christmas lights and displays. Since we are the only resident, we are right at the beginning and will have a magnificent view from our windows. A wonderful light display with Christmas music, as if it were all for us. :)
We have a day to relax today. Heard from my nephew, John, that he will be here for the wedding. That is wonderful news. He is in Special Ops and will be returning to harms way soon. Can't wait to see him.
There will be lots of activity soon and I will have pictures of the light displays for you. Stay tuned....
