Approach to Bahia San Bartolome┬┤

Bahia Tortugas village

Sunset our last night in Bahia Tortugas

We are now anchored in Bahia San Bartolome, which is near the village of Bahia Tortugas.

We arrived 11/16 after a very nice and warm mostly motor journey from Isla Cedros. The seas were very calm, and it was a very nice day to be out there! The water temperature is also warming up, now in the mid-60s, but still not quite warm enough for the guys to surf.

After settling, we headed over to the village. This is our first Mexican village that we have visited. There are no paved roads. But, there are more stores and other businesses than it first appears when you arrive. There are two Internet cafes. We hired a local delivery service for Diesel fuel, and some local enterprising kids to take our garbage, and another one to watch our dinghy while we are in town running errands.

We plan to head further south if weather permits tomorrow. We are not expecting to have Internet access again until we reach La Paz, but you never know.
