|Drove up through Lautoka to Raki Raki on the north coast of Viti Levu which is much drier and less tropical than the hills on the East coast. We got a little boat over to the island from there and discovered that the Trade Winds make this place a little breezy - you don't need anyone to rock your hammock it kind of takes off with you in it! Walked over the hill to the other side of the island and lazed on the beach. Decided against going in the water as I had read in the guide book that the north of the island is famous for it's sea snakes and I really didnt' want another run in with one! So just a couple of lazy days reading really - the only decision making skills required were deciphering which hammocks were safe given the coconuts getting blown down in the wind.
