Left Mantee MS about 5:30 pm yesterday arrived Minden LA around midnight...Slept well, all buffed and puffed like girls do and ready to take on Texas today. Trying to get across that big ol state today so won't here from us until later on tonight.

To My guy and the boys who have opening Elk season this morning...Much good luck and bring home the meat baby!!!!

GAS GAUGE....$198 gal regular $219 for premium Louisiana

ROAD PIZZA....mostly the usual...When we were all headed for Mantee we kept seeing these large fruit that looked liked strange green grapefruit with skin like a brain...so we stopped on the highway and had Andy with the extremely long legs grab one up...The Redwine's got a chuckle as they are useless things called horse apples(well thats what the locals call them). kinda arranged like a giant kiwi on the inside on yellow with a sticky white sap in them.

ROAD CONDITIONS...weather beautiful...we are running on interstate 20 until we get further into texas when 80 goes back to 4 lanes then will get off. 20 is like being on I-5 back home busy and more stressful than the state route.
