Charleston Market

942# Pumpkin

Big Pumpkin

Beans in Market

Drove to Charleston, WV and stopped at the Capital Market which is in an old railroad station. It was obviously nearing Halloween with pumpkins everywhere. We saw a 942 pound pumpkin, which is really big. Lots of apples, but we missed the apple butter making demonstration which is next weekend. When we got to Huntington, WV, we crossed over into Ohio and followed Hwy 52 along the Ohio River. Very pretty drive, but the rain we had avoided so far finally came, so we stopped at the Lively Lady Lounge, Marina and RV park. Not in any of our campground books, but a nice campground with a concrete pad right on the river where we could watch tugs pushing barges up and down the river. And certainly one of the most interesting names so far.
