View of Houston CBD and Texans training pitch from Reliant Stadium

Reliant Stadium - home of the Houston Texans

Hi all

Well Houston was a bit of a let down as it seems it is not geared for tourists but is more of a business centre. The Gray line tour company which we always use was a one man show but the bus was in the chop shop. We booked our hotel near six flags amusement park but that was closed for winter. So a bit of an anti-climax - and Houston is the 4th biggest city in the US!! Nonetheless, we were within walking distance of Reliant Stadium (home of the Houston Texans) where the 2004 Superbowl took place so we went on a tour of the stadium plus we also saw the Astrodome.

The rest of the day included exciting activities like doing laundry, booking hotels and parking off. Don't expect many photo's in this update.

Our next stop was San Antonio (3 1/2 hour bus ride)- home of the Alamo - which promised to be more entertaining.
