The last full day in Hong Kong, but actually the last full day of this Round The World trip. An easy start to the day for a trip by turbojet ferry to the historic country of Macao. There is a very frequent service of ferries, jetfoils, helicopters between Hong Kong and Macau, it's a good service taking just 1 hour to complete the trip, on a half hourly service. More immigration and stamps of the passport at both ends of the journey. Arrival led us both to feel a little daunted by the many taxi touts, and bus operators eager to take you into this very small place. We got onto a local bus and found our way into the city to see the old churches and cathedrals that's once the cornerstone of this historic city. It will come as no surprise to many that there is a huge tower here also, it stands proud. Despite being a historic city its also got many huge casinos and hotels and caters for Chinese who have a gambling addiction to fully do what they enjoy, as its restricted in China and Hong Kong. I guess its like a mini Las Vegas, and there was evidence of even further development. The streets are tiny, and small buses dart in and out the complex one system, the locals get around on small mopeds, and there is 100s of those everywhere. A jet ferry back to Hong Kong, and last night. It has become a tradition for us both to have a Thai meal on the last night in each city, and tonight will be no exception. Just one more stamp in the passport, the departure from Hong Kong, before we board the flight home.
