I turned 28 today -- yes, it's my birthday!
And what better way to spend a birthday than studying and doing homework? I spent this morning in class going over the very basics of diving. I don't mind studying since it's just really fun and exciting.
This afternoon, Jessie, my fellow student, and I will be starting our first confined dive in the swimming pool. She is another lone traveler from Oregon, having a similar itinerary to mine. She will be my dive buddy for the rest of the course.
Well, since it's my b-day, I am going to be lazy and spare the details of my class till later. (Plus, I am busy doing my homework!)
Just a few words — I have been getting emails and messages from my readers (i.e. friends and families), and I just want to say that it's been so wonderful getting kind words from you all. It does get lonely sometimes to be all alone on the road, and it makes me feel less lonely knowing I am connected to you through this website. So, thanks for reading! I will write you all back when I get back!
(Corrections to my last entry 11/9: I did start my class yesterday. See the 11/9 entry...)
