Here we come, Arkansas!

David with counsins Arvin & Marlene

Beautiful countryside

We arrived in Sand Springs, Oklahoma just outside of Tulsa this afternoon. Bud & Judy's place was a little hard to find, but we only got lost once. After numerous telephone calls, we finally made it. They have a beautiful place here with lots of livestock which includes Bubbette the cow and Wilbur the goat (they seem to be best friends). Bud & Judy cruised to Alaska with us last summer and we were excited to see them again. Even though we live far apart we have managed to maintain a close relationship which we treasure. They will retire in a couple of years and we want to do some traveling together then. We want to encourage them to get a 5th wheel so we can "hit the road" together as often as we can. I can hardly wait.

As we traveled through Arkansas on our way here, we came through some beautiful areas. We never realized that Arkansas terrain was so pretty. The trees are just starting to change color on the hills so we got a glimpse of what nature has in store. Fall is one of my favorite times of the year. We both enjoy the cooler temperatures and I love the fall clothes so I can cover the sins of summer overeating.

We plan to leave Oklahoma on Sunday and head for home. We are so anxious to see everyone (especially Shilo). I've been busy trying to organize my photos while we travel so I can put together a slideshow (I've taken over 600 pics so that is quite a job), plus I've tried to work on my scrapbook at night when I have a chance so that we can share our experiences with everyone interested. What fun we have had.

But right now we are just enjoying visiting with family and spending as much time together as we can before heading home.
