Ros & Phil's European Van Tour 2006 travel blog

Creperies & Cafes, St Malo

Again the weather wasn't playing our game - it was a grey, damp, very windy day! And of course we were now on the coast visiting small towns that have the seaside as the attraction! Dinard is a favourite holiday place of the Brits - therefore Phil didn't like it! It was ok, but nothing to do for us so we moved on to St Malo. This was a much nicer place, the old city was inside walls & it had a nice feeling to it. There were lots of shops, cobblestone streets, a cathedral and literally hundreds of creperies! But unfortunately the skies opened & we got absolutely drenched as we made the bolt back to the van. With not much else we could do in the downpour we drove onto Le Mont St Michel. There was an excellent free camp here, where we spent the afternoon hiding out of the rain on the computer & watching more DVDs!
