B - After Kuala Lumpur we headed a short way up near to the west coast to a place called Kuala Selangor where we stayed just one night. We went there to see the fireflies that all gather at night - had boat trip up the river, was v beautiful. Bit like watching fireworks as the flashing becomes syncronised and v dramatic. It was a bit of a strange place to visit, no other travellers but lots of Malay families on holiday with small kids getting v excited about the fireflies - that includes us, infact i think we were even more excited.
