Ed & Marilyn 'The Happy Wanderers' travel blog

Yesterday was a very productive day. The garage and house are all done. What remains is to move things out and clean the house for the new owners. We sold the master bedroom suite last night. We will miss that, but our new bed in the RV is comfortable.

We had a somewhat restless night due to high wind and thunderstorms here in Wichita. I was awake from 1:30 til about 3:30 AM and then fell fast asleep. Marilyn woke me up at 6:30 to have coffee. It is still raining and is forecast to continue through Saturday morning. It was so nice to turn on the fireplace and relax with a cup of coffee, while listening to the rain on the windows. I had a nice note from our good friend, Beli, which you can read in the guestbook. We look forward to seeing you again someday, Beli.

I have a few errands to run today and have to complete some paperwork for my retirement. The company picnic is on Saturday and we plan to attend. It might be our last chance to say farewell to many of my peers.

Marilyn asked me to fix chicken soup for dinner this evening. I really enjoy cooking and she doesn't mind cleaning up after me, so we have a good combination there. I will make a quick run to the store for a few supplies. :)

The good news is that the end is in sight. We are already living in the RV, but won't feel like full-timers until we can get up in the morning with no pre-arranged agenda.

The first little twinges of relaxation are beginning to creep in. :)

Let's see what is aound the bend.......
