Yesterday evening we attended my last retirement party. The guys gave me a gift certificate good for fuel at any Valero associated filling station. Couldn't be anything better for us. That truck gulps fuel to the rate of about 10 mpg while towing. (Actually 9.8 mpg from KC to Wichita) :(
Dave & Judy Norton, long time friends of ours, came over to see the 5er before the party. They liked it of course. :) Once again I must say that the most difficult part of this life changing move for us is to move away from the good friends. We love them so much and they have been such a huge part of our lives for so many years. We do plan to see them again of course, but it is hard to say goodbye.
Today, I signed up for medicare Part B, resigned our membership at Genesis health club, took more bags to Good Will (22 in all), stopped for a sandwich at Subway, and now have to get ready for work. This is my last day, unless I agree to do something more, if asked.
The license plate for the trailer arrived in the mail today. Now all three vehicles are officially licensed in SD.
I have to get going. My shaving kit, etc is here at the house but my uniform for work is in the RV. How do we get organized and when will it happen? Answer to be determined.
God Bless you all. More later.....
