Today we went to the most awesome waterfalls ever!!! These two undisturbed waterfalls thunder through a chasm carved by the Henry's Fork of the Snake River. The whole Snake River pours over the crest and drops 114 feet to the canyon floor below! Actually at 110 feet and 85 feet, respectively, the Upper & Lower Mesa falls offer equally spectacular views. They are the only major falls in Idaho not used for irrigation or hydroelectric projects.

Wooden walkways and railings make it possible to view this beautiful fall from safety. I told Larry I wish I were a fish & I could jump in & ride the fall to the river below. He said I would be a dead fish!! Oh well, guess I will stay up here hanging out over the fall on this walkway...darn!

Wish you could hear the thunder, smell this fresh air & stand here in awe with us! We absolutely loved it!!! Hope we get to come again soon & literally "hang out" in this beauty! Loved it, loved it, loved it!!!!!
