We left Deb and John's dock in Keswick on Lake Simcoe on June 30, 2006, after enjoying the month visiting with friends and family that we missed dearly while we were away. We spent Canada Day weekend up at Big Chief Island on Lake Couchiching, Orillia with Donna and Steve and Barb and Aart.
From there we travelled north through the Trent-Severn Waterway up to Georgian Bay. We spent a month in Georgian Bay and had some boat company. First Dave, Brenda, Marty, Garrett and Robyn Wood joined us for a couple of days on Beausoleil Island.
Then Deb and John came for a few days. We spent some time at Beausoleil Island and then cruised over to Beckwith Island. Next Mike and Irene came to see us and we enjoyed Beausoleil and Bone Island. Finally Sylvia and Donna came up for a couple of days while we anchored at Tonch Point, also on Beausoleil Island. Although we enjoyed the sun and sand over the winter we have a new appreciation of our beautiful home waters of Georgian Bay!
We cruised north on Georgian Bay, enjoyed lunch at Henry's Fish and Chips in San Souci and spent a couple of nights at Killbear Park. Parry Sound was our next port of call before we proceeded north to Killarney where Mom and Dad Woodjoined us for a few days.
From Killarney we cruised west along the North Channel and stopped in Little Current, Gore Bay and South Benjamin Island. Our last night in Canada was spent anchored off St. Joseph Island before we cleared customs on Drummond Island, Michigan.
