Day 43: Watson Lake (again)

Our friends, the Hansons, had a flat tire on their rig today. Fortunately, we were only about 10 miles from our destination for the day. A major problem is that we don't have phone coverage here in Canada - a particular concern because the 'tailgunner' doesn't have coverage, either! The only people with a phone that works in both countries is the Wagonmaster, who you can't reach if you don't have a phone!! One of the group went on to the campground and found the Wagon Master, who got hold of a service person to come and change the tire. Fortunately, the Hansons had brought a mounted spare tire! The tire did some collateral damage as it was breaking up (broken air line), but that got fixed with the combined efforts of several of the men in the group. Later, we had a pot-luck supper in the enclosed meeting house - it's getting pretty cool up here, now, and the days are certainly getting shorter. Some of the group have seen the Northern Lights during the night.
