|Krakow was absolutely amazing!! There are a ton of churches and beautiful architecture. The foods great, the people helpful (well they try to be helpful but end up telling you the wrong thing...kind of funny actually), and everything is so inexpensive. The only waste of money was when I got a fine for riding the tram with the wrong kind of ticket (technically not my fault but the controllers don't care...in fact they target the young tourist and fine you what ever they think they can get away with). The other big waste of money was the salt mine...a three hour journey of looking at sculptures made from salt...kind of boring.
The hostel was a big part of why i had such a great time on this solo journey. The owner is super nice and will take people out on the town at night and for picnics and swimming during the day. The other staff is just as friendly and helpful. Krakow is a very walkable city with tons to look at! LOVED IT!! In fact I want to go back to explore more of Poland. It's such a beautiful country, very green and lush. I want to check out the mountain area...I heard it's beautiful. Camping in Poland anyone?
Hope you enjoy the pics...
