Cape Foulweather

View of Cape Foulweather from inside Visitor Center

Today I left the campground much later than I normally do because I wanted to update my trip journal and check my e-mails. There was free WiFi but I could not get a signal at all from my spot in the campground, so I stopped at the club house to do it this morning. I didn't finish until after 3:00 because the system was so slow. I was determined to get caught up, though!

It was sunny at the campground but back on US 101 it was still foggy. I made a couple of stops anyhow. The first was at Cape Foulweather, which was discovered by captain James Cook and given its name due to extraordinarily bad weather on the day of discovery. Winds often reach 100 miles per hour!
