Maria Olinda in Siena, Italy --- Summer 2006 travel blog

well, today is the last day. i just completed my oral and was given my certificate of complition. last night we had a wonderful dinner downtown siena and later went to celebrate further at enoteca a very nice little discoteque type place. all the classes had prepare little presentations for their instructors and later we had a slide show which included pictures of most of the students in the program. we had plenty of wine. i have been having a glass of white wine every single day here in siena because it gives me no allergy. for those of you who know me, most of the wine i had consumed in america gets my nouse stuffed up with allergies. it must be the way the wine is produce here in italy with the concetration of all natural preparation and ingredients. too bad the wine is so heavy to carry home otherwise i would take some. i am only taking a couple of bottles. i have one more test to go through and them i am done! i can't believe it. this last two weeks have been so difficult but now after 5pm today we are partying. most everyone is travelling further in europe, some people for two weeks, others for three months and others are continuing on with other study abroad programs. i am looking forward to my little european tour but i am anxious to be home and get on with my life. italy is a beautiful place and i have enjoyed it so much but is certainly not the place to make a living. the economy here for the italians is pretty bad. i am off to study for my culture test and will write more later and upload some pictures of the lastest events.
