Perce at the east end od the Gaspe

August 15/06 We left @ 10:45am for New Brunswick. We crossed over the bridge from Pointe-a-la-Croix to Campbellton @12:10, oops time change here its 1:10pm. On the way we had to go around a 10 ton truck that had rolled, the cab did not look good, we hope driver was okay. After visiting the Visitors Center we parked at the Municipal waterfront park which is free. Campbellton is on the Restiqouche River bank. At dinner time we had a lightning storm come in as it passed we got some ictures of the rainbows and the 5th wheel where we are parked.

August 16/06 We got up early and left for a day trip to the Gaspe Peninsula in the truck, without the 5th wheel.

We noticed all the communities are well maintained and there is no garbage on the streets and the houses and yards look very well maintained. We traveled 525 km to Perce and back. At one of the viewpoints we went up 65 stairs but it was worthwhile to get the picture. We took a picture of the main street in Perce and at a viewpoint of the rock we had our picture taken. Gary is taking a lot of pictures of unique houses in the Gaspe and maritimes. He will put them together in a slide show in the future, after we are finished in the maritimes, and you will all be able to see something a little different.
