| Aug 1/06 Left St Cloud @10:45 heading to St. Paul, Minnesota. We stopped at Rogers, MN to go to Camping World then continued to Maple Grove to park in the Wal Mart parking lot. After lunch we went to Bloomington to the Mall of America. It's like Edmonton Mall, a shopper's delight, a complete amusement park for the young and young at heart, a large scrap booking place, www.Archieversonline.com, good cafes and restaurants at reasonable prices there. It was raining and muggy today, but considerably cooler. Aug. 2/06 It is in the 80's today. Went to Minnesota History Center in St. Paul. Its very interesting and well laid out. After lunch we went to the library - newer and larger than Vancouver's. Then went downtown to Nicolette Mall, stores on both sides of the road are joined by glass walk ways from the 2nd floor. Not impressed with the wasted space. |
