Back home in Wichita and, like any time we are away from home, little things pop up which require attention when we get back home. It was no different for me. Bills to pay, yard to mow, car needs service, have to check on our new tow vehicle. Has it arrived?, How soon may we expect the new 5th wheel?, What is my schedule at work?, etc, etc.
The new truck, which will tow our 5th wheel, will not arrive until the end of this month. Same time frame for the new 5th wheel. But we have to get the spray-in bed liner done before the hitch is installed, and it seems I read somewhere that the truck should be driven 500 miles before we tow with it. It isn't panic time yet, but there are concerns here.
What will we do if the 5th wheel arrives, but no truck? Well, we will face that when it happens.
The house remains on the market. No contract yet. We did have the granddaughter of a close friend call about buying the van. That would be another "to do" item taken care of.
We have arranged for insurance for the truck and the 5th wheel with GMAC, through the Good Sam Club. That was the lowest rate we have found. Our material for our recent membership in the Escapee Club arrived. We have the financial plan all set up, except for the health insurance cost. Still doing research. :) Howard & Linda Payne's website "rv-deams.com" is a good source of information about all phases of this adventure, and has been a wonderful resource for us. Thanks Howard. We will keep all of you advised as we go along.
