Turbulent bottom from springs errupting into pond
| Well moved camp again today. Left Muskellonge State Park and moved over to Manistique Indian Lake Travel Resort. I have a nice site and are sitting on Indian lake. Not a whole lot to do today. Took a trip over to Kitch-iti-kipi which means The Big Spring. It is Michigan's largest spring and is 200 feet across and 40 feet deep. You take a self propelled raft across that allowed you to see the bottom and see the springs coming out of the bottom. The spring has a few different kind of fish in it and some of them looked to be over 36" long. Very interesting. Hard to take pictures of it but hope you can see something. The water was very blue and beautiful. I am having a great time and feel so blessed to be able to do this. So hope that you at least get to see a little of what I see even though you can't be here. |
