What a busy time!! Yesterday, I was awake early, thinking about going to Kansas City to pick up Marilyn and bring her back to Wichita. I first had to make sure the house was ready for a showing scheduled later in the day. It was a nice 3 hour drive to KC, where I met up with the kids, Jennifer (Our daughter)& Steve (Future son-in-law), who had brought Marilyn to KC. After hugs and kisses, we all had lunch at "Famous Dave's" Barbeque, changed luggage from car to car, and, after more hugs and kisses, each car headed in seperate directions.
This morning I have to get the yard mowed and get packed for my trip. Tomorrow, I am leaving on a commercial flight to Paris, where I will meet with another pilot, and together we will fly a new corporate jet (Citation Sovereign)to London. From London to Zambia with a fuel stop in Nigeria. After a few days in Zambia, we will return to London and I will fly back to the USA on a commercial flight. Shortly after returning to the USA, we expect to take delivery of our new truck and shortly after that, our new 5th wheel RV.
I must say for the record, that Marilyn & I picked up right where we left off, conversation wise. This morning over coffee, I was telling Marilyn about a new Ford F350 King Ranch truck I had seen in the parking lot ot Cabella's in KC. She replied "Oh, I have a picture of what the wedding cake will look like".
I asked her if she had read what I wrote in this journal about our conversation. She laughed and said "Yeah, that was cute". :)
I will look forward to getting back from this trip and I'll let all of you know how things went at that time.
