We've been very busy since our last entry in Cesky Krumlov, at one point covering four countries in five days! We spent two nights in Cesky Krumlov and it was a beautiful little place. Things were cheaper there than in Prague and we ate at least three hearty meals a day! We travelled from Cesky to Vienna where we stayed for one night. We got in late on a Sunday night and left first thing Monday morning so the only thing we got to see in Vienna was the local McDonalds! On Monday afternoon we arrived in Munich where we finished Busabout. While we were in Munich we saw the the Glockenspiel (twice!) and we had dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe which was just like being at home!! After one night in a hostel we spent our second night at a nice hotel at Munich airport so we didn't have far to travel to get our flight to Santorini! As you can see, during these few days we didn't do anything exciting so sorry to bore you! But it gets better... trust us...
When we checked in our bags at Munich we got to see how many kilos worth of shopping we've done. Craig's bag had gone from 13.2kgs to 15.8kgs and mine had gone from 11.5kgs to 17.2kgs!!!! Needless to say I've been compacted so much I'm now about five inches shorter! That might sound like a lot of shopping but it doesn't even take into consideration the clothes, etc. we've dumped along the way!!!
Flying from Munich to Athens we had a quick stop in Thessaloniki. The take-offs and landings were the most terrifying experience of our lives!!! It was so windy and the plane was shaking around like crazy! The flight from Athens to Santorini was a lot better and only took 25 minutes.
When we landed (safely) in Santorini we had a transfer arranged to take us to our hotel (where we are now) and when we got here we couldn't believe the fantastic view!!! After we were shown to our room we were brought two glasses of chamagne and got to see our first Santorini sunset! It's a bit hazy around the island at the moment but it was still beautiful. It's a great place we're being very well looked after. We haven't done a lot since we got here, it's been nice to just relax. Yesterday we hired a quad bike and Craig chauffered us around the island! We were going to go to the beach but it was a bit windy so we just cruised around on the quad... and got lost... then found our way back to the hotel. This morning we did a bit of shopping in Fira and now we're back at the hotel soaking up the sun and the view while we still can!
Only two more nights here then we catch the ferry to Athens where we stay for three nights, then we fly home (via a 20 hour stopover in Singapore... GGRRRR!). Not much of our holiday left now but it will be nice to get back home and see you all!
