| Today, we have a pretty decent internet connection (first in days) and its HOT in these here parts. We are looking forward to the coast. Bethel Island is located in the Sacramento River Delta, which empties into San Francisco Bay. Sometimes the water is fresh from the river and sometimes the salt water from the Bay comes way, way upstream. Bethel Island is surrounded by waterways, canals and levees and is quite interesting. We stayed at Sugar Barge RV park on Friday night after leaving Moss Landing and the coast. The heat wave inland continues and it was well up into the 100's at Bethel. The rv park only had 30 amp service so we could only run one air conditioner at a time. The water was also iffy--had a funny color to it.....Thank goodness we have a filter on the sink for the water we (and Lacie) drink. We were off bright and early to Suisun City to visit niece Susan and her husband Ewald. |
