Rosalie & Dave's Alaska Adventure 2006 travel blog

July 5, 2006

We left Toad River Lodge & RV Park this morning and continued south down the dusty highway. We saw two coyotes but couldn't stop to take pictures because there was traffic behind us. We also saw six deer but couldn't stop because of traffic. Dave was tired and wanted to stop after two hundred fifty miles but we couldn't find a suitable campground. We drove on until we got to Dawson Creek, BC and checked in at Mile "0" RV Park, the same park we stayed in going up. The dust is terrible. It is on everything and it is the worst on the Tracker. I'm not cleaning the motor home again until we get to Montana. I have to wash the dust off the dishes before I use them. After we got set up in the campground, we ate supper and unhooked the Tracker and drove into town. We went to a car wash which charged $1 a minute to power wash the car. Dave worked really fast and washed it in ten minutes. From there we went shopping at Wal-Marts and Extra Foods. We are both very tired and should not have any trouble sleeping tonight.
