Day Five - Bangor to Carlisle in England.
Well we have arrived back in England for a night, ready to venture onto Scotland tomorrow. Staying at a nice guest house we chilled out (yet again) with a few drinks after another big day. On our way we stopped off in Liverpool...The birthplace of the Beatles (my mum's a huge fan and couldn't come to England and not visit this place). We visited the Beatles museum and shop and then took a Beatles tour, riding on the same bus they used on their Mystery Magic Tour way back in the ages. Liz was like a little kid in candy store and I was in a bus full of 'the older generation' yet again and forgive my ignorance didn't know about Penny Lane, Strawberry Fields and the Cavern Club (where the Beatles played 245 times) we visited on the tour. We even went to each of their houses (even though they are owned by new tenents these days - who must get sick of tourists visiting)...I now know how Dan must have felt on our Hollywood tour, as I was just in bewilderment at how excited everyone was! It was a good day though, and quite interesting. I have to admit the Cavern Club was pretty cool (very dark and dingy) and we had to have a few drinks there...
