We found out what was really under the Scottish kilt that day...and...
Nice scenery through Scotland.
Stirling Castle
Day Six - Carlisle (Eng) to Stirling (Scotland)
What a beautiful day we had in Scotland...we thought it was going to be rather cold. We took off early this morning and headed into Scotland and its beautiful scernery, stopping off at many places along the way (to have a look around, as well as to ask for directions before Keith goes crazy at the lack of signs and directions they provide). Stopping off in Glasgow for a look and then heading to Loch Lomond (huge and cold) Keith did have to go in and do a few laps, I put my feet in and that was too much for me!
By late afternoon we made it to Stirling where my aunty Louise was married and I can understand why. It is a gorgeous uni town with Stirling castle overlooking it. We visited the William Wallace memorial where Braveheart's (or Mel) sword lies today...
Anyway at our B&B we got our first opportunity to taste the Scottish square sausage and needless to say it was 'rather interesting'...
