Will the rain never end? Doesn't seem that way. It is still coming down steady again this morning. Lazy morning, showers, breakfast and watch TV. Boring! No one else in the campground seems willing to brave the elements so everything is very quite and still. I am tired of Canadian TV. Only 2 stations in English and 2 in French. Their TV is as bad as ours and that is disappointing.

We finally decided to go anyway. It does not seem that the rain will stop. Our sunglasses are developing mildew and moss on the north side. I now understand what cabin fever is all about. We started in the rain and it got worse. Add fog to the equation and nothing was visible. We drove all of the way to Sidney and the high point of our day was to visit Home Depot for wood under our jacks, then Walmart for pancake flour, syrup, crackers and candy. We were trapped in the store out of boredom so we had a sumptuous lunch at McDonalds. How exciting! Driving back, we toured Sidney Mines and viewed the ferry to Newfoundland. We believe it is just like the one we crossed from PEI on but we are not absolutely sure. Oh well! We descended the side of the mountain to see the ferry at Englishtown. Then we stopped at the Scotch Gaelic School of Music and Art. Extremely interesting and I was able to show Anne that I was a member of Clan McDonald. I have McBrides in my family history. Still raining so back to the MH to decide how to spend the evening. We are going out for dinner but still have not decided where. The place we would have preferred serves only Lobster or Salmon Dinners. Both sound great but just to much to eat and expensive. We may still do it later in the week. We have 3 other good options so I guess we may just flip a coin. Wouldn't you know it. The day is almost over and the rain has finally stopped. Watch it start again as soon as we strike out to do something. Anne had me pick some wild flowers for her and she is trying to press some of them. I hope it works. We settled on dinner at the "Red Barn", a restaurant and gift shop only 1 klm from the campground. Anne went back to her favorite and had a lobster roll on a croissant with potato salad. I ordered fish and chips, Haddock and fries. Two pieces would have been a plenty but I made a pig of myself and ordered three. It was so good that I could not resist finishing it. Anne polished her's off as well. Weather has cleared up for a while so we took a short ride on the Cabot Trail. Started raining again, so turned back to the MH. I believe even the raindrops are beginning to mildew. Everything is so damp that I am alternating between A/C and heat trying to dry out. Maybe tomorrow will be better. I don't mean to sound so down, in fact we are still having a wonderful adventure.
