Zadar, Croatia

Well, it has been ages since we made an entry. Lots of reasons: hard to find internet cafes, too busy, etc.... We have also lost our MP3 player (well the hard drive is corrupted) which was our back up for photographs, so it is now going to be difficult to add photos. We will try to fill in the missing bits over time.

We are in Croatia and were for the Aus V Croatia game in the world cup. We came into the old town to watch it, but I got scared so we left at half time. It had also been a public holiday here, so we couldnt be sure of the drunken/vindictive state of the locals if things turned sour. As it happened I was glad not to be there at the end.

It has been quite hot for the last two weeks. So hot that we have rented an airconditioned apartment. It has also given Stu the opportunity to do some work on Fritz. We were very fortunate in that the owners of the flat who live downstairs are gutterers and could do some welding for us - a strut which holds the pop-top up had broken. I have been mainly sitting inside in the AC watching crap american television, which is undubbed and subtitled in Croatian.

We hope to move on tomorrow to Northern Italy, but it is bloody hot there too, so dont know exactly what to do. Stu keeps suggesting that we give up and just go home now - but he has been saying that since we left the UK! You would think that we would enjoy not working for 6 months and meandering around Europe.
